Sugar Cone Sleeves

The sugar cone is the narrow, straight-sided classic of the scoop shop — and it is a different geometry from the waffle cone. Steeper taper, smaller top diameter, harder wall.

That is why this is its own product and its own die. A sleeve cut to the waffle angle sits loose on a sugar cone and slides off with the first lick; forced tight, it crushes the rim of the harder wafer. Cut to the right taper, it grips the cone all the way round with no pressure on the rim at all.

The same arc discipline applies at the steeper angle — art designed on the die line so it wraps level — and the same grease-barrier stock and food-safe inks, stated on the quote.

If you run both cones, we cut both dies and the artwork is adapted to each arc so the two sleeves read as one brand at two angles.

We cut a die per cone and adapt the artwork to each arc, so both sleeves fit properly and still read as the same brand.

How do you size a sleeve to our specific cone?

Send the cone — or its top diameter, height and wall angle if you have a spec sheet. The die is drawn to that taper so the sleeve grips by geometry rather than squeeze. It is the same reason a wrong-taper sleeve slides off: paper cannot hold a shape it was not cut for.
